The confirmed number of Kyrgyzstan casinos is something in some dispute. As info from this country, out in the very most central part of Central Asia, can be hard to acquire, this might not be all that difficult to believe. Regardless if there are two or three approved gambling halls is the item at issue, maybe not in reality the most all-important piece of data that we don’t have.

What certainly is true, as it is of the majority of the old USSR nations, and absolutely correct of those located in Asia, is that there will be a lot more not approved and underground gambling halls. The change to authorized gambling did not drive all the underground casinos to come from the illegal into the legal. So, the bickering over the number of Kyrgyzstan’s gambling dens is a tiny one at best: how many authorized casinos is the item we are attempting to answer here.

We know that in Bishkek, the capital municipality, there is the Casino Las Vegas (a spectacularly unique name, don’t you think?), which has both gaming tables and slot machine games. We will also see both the Casino Bishkek and the Xanadu Casino. The two of these contain 26 video slots and 11 gaming tables, separated between roulette, vingt-et-un, and poker. Given the remarkable similarity in the sq.ft. and floor plan of these 2 Kyrgyzstan gambling dens, it may be even more bizarre to find that both are at the same address. This seems most difficult to believe, so we can no doubt state that the number of Kyrgyzstan’s gambling halls, at least the accredited ones, ends at two casinos, one of them having altered their title not long ago.

The country, in common with many of the ex-USSR, has experienced something of a rapid change to free market. The Wild East, you could say, to refer to the lawless circumstances of the Wild West a century and a half back.

Kyrgyzstan’s casinos are actually worth checking out, therefore, as a bit of anthropological research, to see dollars being bet as a form of collective one-upmanship, the apparent consumption that Thorstein Veblen spoke about in 19th century usa.
